Paris Markets

It's a gloomy gray Monday morning here in New England, so how about a burst of color to start your day?  These photos are from our summer trip to France and Italy, which ended with three days in Paris.  We stayed in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, which is situated on the Right Bank of the River Seine.  It is full of cafes, restaurants and nightlife, along with boutiques and galleries.  On Sunday morning there is a wonderful outdoor market along the tree lined Boulevard Richard-Lenoir.
The market is an entertaining mix of food, flowers, assorted housewares and a few clothes stalls.
Everything is displayed as art, and the vendors take pride in their displays and the food they are selling.  Friendly banter goes back and forth between the vendors and customers, and the food is SO fresh...straight from the fields.
Loved the yellow and white stripe awnings.

Every color of the rainbow!

The bread was still warm & smelled so good!

I had never seen dark red peonies before...gorgeous!

Ryan made a little friend!

I hope you enjoyed a slice of Parisien life...more pics from our summer trip coming soon!

Also, thanks to everyone who participated in our Fall Give Away.  The winner of the Pottery Barn mercury glass pumpkin is Adelaide Dykstra- Congrats!
